Train Ride, A Journey to remember

The tranquility I feel in the noise of railway station makes me lose my words, it’s like the unanswerable query of your favourite perfume. You fail to explain the smell of freshly cut grass or the pain one feels when love is lost, cravings for feelings that only the comfort of mother’s lap and a rainy walk can gratify. I first traveled on a train a year ago with a friend of mine and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Little did I know that this old-school soul trapped in a modern era body will never settle on a single rail trip. Once I booked a sleeper ticket to travel the long route from Multan to Rawalpindi. There are two people in a sleeper, it’s a normal compartment with two sleeping sofa berths, I was in luck as my second seat was empty too. Yet I only spent 30 minutes of the 13-hour journey in my sleeper. I kept wandering about, exploring, sitting in different compartments with strangers sharing stories like long lost friends. My wanderlust in general and this mode of transportati...

Reflections of Time.

Sometimes I get the feeling of dying, it’s a strong gripping emotion that makes me restless. Mostly I get this feeling before going to sleep or when I have (can’t disclose my disease but it makes me paranoid) like what if I never wake up again. I have a lot of unfinished business yet. Then I close my eyes while looking up and pray for one more chance. The truth is I am naive because I keep Allah’s orders at bay till the last minute and make my own goals a priority. I am one of the fools who think they will have a lot of time by the end of their life to sort out their religious responsibilities. Alas! Time waits for no one. The individual human lifecycle is in a constant state of ending. Even though nothing really ends but it does from changing perspectives. A Story About Ending I want to share a story of my friend who recently ‘ended’ his bachelor life. (May Allah bless the happy couple with success, Ameen) Our paths crossed first at the medical screenings for PAF. On the fir...

a visit to the tomb of shah rukn e alam

This shrine held immense power, I felt a surge of belief in the city of saints. Its called the city of saints for a reason coz u can still feel the effect of their time. There's something in the air of Multan that I fail to describe and that feeling can only be felt if you visit that city. This picture is my fav. The sun is at 7.30 am, kissing the eastern pillars and the tomb, pigeons are orbiting around while a woman is crossing from the western side with her baby in her arms and its head resting on its mom's right shoulder, the rustle of people can be heard outside and a horn now and then breaks the tranquility of the scenery. Its a photographer's dream to visit Multan for his ultimate architectural collection. An epicure's desire to taste the famous Sohan Halwa and a Believer's paradise to visit the shrines and mausoleums of the great scholars and saints buried in this city. time to run ... A bient'ot.
Munib Aziz: (on social sites only ) I fly, I like to read but can’t seem to finish a book lately and I am different just like YOU! I am also obsessed with the human brain (not just how it works) but like how would it feel to hold it and squeeze all its wires and the liquids and ..... (ok now you are scared XD) I do all the boring stuff like traveling, photography, philosophical thinking, mystism, active sports etc. In short anything to keep me sane! Welcome to my blog. Where I tell you stuff about stuff Where I tell you about my inarticulate life
